The Crawl first came to Camden in the mid-nineties as a one-day event . It died out after a few years but was revived in 2005 and quickly gained notoriety as one of the best new and alternative festivals in the UK. The Camden Crawl is a a yearly event featuring dozens of bands playing over two days at venues across camden. Following a month of online voting, the Gaymers Camden Crawl topped the NME’s 2010 Festival Poll winning the coveted position of ‘Best Small Festival’. The annual Camden Crawl showcase many of the acts expected to hit it big in the coming year. The two-day festival stretches for over a mile of the notorious indie stomping ground Camden in North London, opening the doors of over 30 venues to some 150 bands.
Launching the festival season each spring, the Gaymers Camden Crawl features more than 200 of the best up and coming live music talent from across the UK and rest of the world with a reputation as the first to showcase the forthcoming year’s most hotly tipped artists. 2011 will mark the 10th edition of the Crawl and will undoubtedly be the biggest and best yet with special birthday shows in the lead up to the festival.
