Cera Sanitaryware Limited, India’s leading manufacturer of sanitaryware and bathroom fitments,
announces unaudited financial results for FY 2009-2010
· Turnover increases by 20% to Rs.191.39 Crs;
· Operating Profit increases by 21% to Rs. 38.17 Crs;
· PAT increases by 49% to Rs. 19.53 Crs.
· EPS touches Rs. 31.37.
Cera Sanitaryware Limited (CSL), the third largest sanitaryware company in India, today announced its unaudited annual results for the year 2009-2010.
The sales, for the year, have gone up to 191.39 crores from previous financial year of Rs.159.52 crores showing a growth of 20%.
The Profit after Tax, have increased to Rs. 19.53 crores, witnessing a marked increase of 49%. over the previous financial year
The earning per share has gone up to Rs. 31.37 in FY 2009-2010, as compared to Rs. 21.15 of the proceeding year in 2008-2009,
There has been a noteworthy increase in sales during the 4th quarter FY 2009-10 as compared to the same of the preceding period. In absolute amount, the sales of the 4th Quarter, has shown a rise of Rs.12.59 crores showing a growth of 27% compared to the same of preceding period.
PAT for the 4th quarter of FY 2009-10 has increased to 6.19 crores from Rs.3.70 crores in FY 2008-09 showing an increase of 67%.
Mr. Vikram Somany, Chairman & Managing Director, Cera Sanitaryware Limited, says “Cera has demonstrated growth in its all-round performance. The company has bettered the industry average on many counts. Very soon the company will have its own complete manufacturing facility of faucets. This in turn, would enhance the stature of the company as major player offering entire range of bathroom products of its own “
Elaborating on the expectations for the current year, Mr. Somany added, “The effect of our expansion in the last year, in capacities and product portfolio, should be visible in the current year which will be the first year of operation for Faucets. The addition in product portfolio and the inclusion of geysers and bath tubs with LCD TVs will further positively impact the top line and profits”.

Cera Sanitaryware Limited is seriously pursuing overseas acquisitions to expand its footprint and acquire a larger global customer base. The company is in dialogue with leading European faucets and sanitaryware brands, with the intention of acquiring two super-premium brands. There is major growth on the cards with Cera Sanitaryware becoming a “complete bathroom solutions” company.
