Casey Etter and her fiancée, Thomas Bobb, both long-term martial artists, and have opened Kontakuto Karate and Fitness Center.  Their goal?  To provide affordable karate classes tailored to students’ of all skill levels ages 4 and older.  The requirement from their students?  Only the desire to get off the couch and try something new!

Unlike other forms of fitness, Karate not only improves cardio fitness, strength and flexibility it has a mental and spiritual element that helps improve focus and helps with self-control.  Classes are tailored to all fitness levels with specialized classes designed specifically for pre-shcoolers, kids and families.  They also offer a cardio kickboxing class guaranteed to burn serious calories while having fun in a relaxed group class setting.

According to Casey Etter, co-founder of Kontakuto Karate and Fitness Center, their ultimate goal is to offer an environment for anyone to experience the health and mental benefits of martial arts.  “We hope that everyone will stop by and try a class for free.  We do not require contracts, have no start up fees and make it very affordable for anyone to take classes”, says Casey.  “If you have been thinking about trying martial arts and live in the Albany/East Greenbush area, now is the time!”
