In a recent episode of the local TV show, the Tyra Banks show, the story centered on Tina, who was planning to go out of the country to get a liposuction. Dr. Calvert explained that to have the operation in his center will cost about 31,000 US dollars and that her tummy tuck may cost an additional 15,000. He admitted that Tina might get half this price off if she gets her tummy tuck done outside Los Angeles but the post operative after care might not be as good. Dr. Calvert added that if she gets her surgical care done in Beverly Hills, her tummy tuck would include an overnight stay at the center with a nurse. It would also include all of her follow up appointment in order to see if she developed hematoma, spasms, seroma, muscle problems and other complications that may occur after she had her plastic surgery. Dr. Calvert explained that when someone flies in to have a tummy tuck, he asks the patient to stay in Beverly Hills for a minimum of two weeks in order to receive an effective post surgery care. However, despite all the explanations, Tina still went to Mexico. Dr. Calvert was disappointed and said that she may get a successful operation there, however, if complications occur, she will be totally out in the cold. Still, he hopes that everything works out well for her.
It is essential to select a board certified surgeon with an extensive experience and track record when choosing to undergo any type of surgery.
