DT Asia creates Expo opportunities for HK SMEs

D

(Hong Kong, 10 June 2010) Being the partners of the World Trade Centers Association and DEVNET pavilions at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, DT Communications Asia Pacific (DT Asia) has collaborated with organizations such as the Hong Kong Young Entrepreneur Alliance and Hong Kong Innovative Entrepreneur Association, to organize business exchange activities for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

This major initiative by DT Asia fulfills the objective of exposing Hong Kong SMEs to the array of business opportunities available, while giving them the a platform to increase their knowledge about the Expo and real-world business practices.

As the only public relations agency in Hong Kong participating in the World Expo, DT Asia has dedicated itself to the mission of representing Hong Kong. DT Asia will actively hold commercial exchanges with various departments, including the World Expo Bureau, Guangdong Province (Jiangmen) and Zhejiang Province (Ningbo). These activities will open the Expo doors to Hong Kong SMEs and young entrepreneurs, to give them the platform to expand their business contacts with mainland related industries.

Director of DT Asia, Ms. Alice Fok said, ‘Many SMEs in Hong Kong, young entrepreneurs and designers face difficulties due to the lack of sufficient resources and limitations in market exploration. Thus, the Expo is an excellent opportunity to overcome these complexities, as proven by the vast economic benefits many businesses have reaped from the Expo. Hopefully, DT Asia will provide SMEs in Hong Kong opportunities to promote their marketing exploration to speed up their business development.’

Alice added that DT Asia will organize tours in Expo for Hong Kong companies, and will arrange for them to meet mainland government organizations and companies. DT Asia will also hold forums, talks and VIP cocktails to provide networking platforms for young designers in Hong Kong to build connections with mainland companies. These will facilitate the matching process and cooperation between the two parties. DT Asia will also hold creative product exhibitions at the Expo stage to help Hong Kong SMEs and young designers attract a global audience, while securing trade opportunities.
