Lewiston, Maine, December 07, 2010 — Elmet Technologies Inc. is announcing the opening of ETI Precision Corporation. ETI Precision is initially focused on the precision machining of planar sputtering targets used in the fabrication of semiconductors and consumer electronics. Additionally, ETI Precision will offer customers products made of advanced materials outside of Elmet’s core offerings of Molybdenum and Tungsten. By offering a broader range of advanced materials, ETI is able to capture opportunities in new and existing markets.
ETI Precision Corp. is located in a 58,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Gordonsville, Tenn. This new venture represents a significant investment in new materials, products, and processes for Elmet Technologies Inc., which will enhance the company’s competitiveness.
