Rising Teen Pop Star Marirose rushed the release of her debut single “I Want Love” after DJs Frankie J and DJ Alex of RnBSpot.com premiered the song on their radio show, claiming it was an official unreleased Rihanna track. The infectiously upbeat pop dance track, produced by The Jam (Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, Kristinia DeBarge, Aaron Fresh, The Saturdays, Brandy), quickly caught on and spread online as more outlets continued to report the voice on the song as that of Rihanna’s. With the release of “I Want Love,” 15 year old Marirose has officially begun her invasion of the music scene. Internet Celebrity and YouTube Star Michael Buckley recently featured “I Want Love” on his show “What The Buck” and viewers immediately took a liking to Marirose’s unforgettable vocal style. Marirose gained over 6,000 new fans on her official facebook fan page in the days following Buckley’s feature. The word on Marirose as pop’s newest discovery is quickly spreading online. She’s been featured as EQ’s Newest Music Discovery on London’s ElectroQueer.com who says, “…it seems these days with Justin Beiber and Willow Smith having success at such young ages, all the bright new talents are just going for it and well, you might as well add Marirose to the list.” Bradley Stern of MuuMuse.com says “For fans of some of MuuMuse’s favorite fledgling pop tarts, including Selena Gomez and Alexis Jo rdan, give this girl a shot. A native of Chicago, Marirose grew up listening to everything from Celine Dion to Rihanna and has been quick to garner the attention of record labels, managers, and producers with her radio friendly pop sound and style.
Marirose’s upbeat approach to life comes through clearly in her music. Her music inspires happiness in others and gives back to the music world what it has given her. The young pop star credits music with helping her get through the most difficult times in her life: the loss of her mother from brain cancer when Marirose was only 9 years old and constant bullying in school. Marirose knows firsthand that it gets better.
