New York, NY – From 5:25pm-8:30pm, all filmmakers are welcome to join Allen Chou at Jimmy’s No. 43 in NYC for a new informative seminar that will cover a range of topics including how to find the right distributor for your film and how to use social media to market your film. This class is a great opportunity for curious filmmakers to learn how to create internet buzz and word of mouth for their films without spending any money on advertising.
This three-hour film distribution & marketing seminar and panel discussion will include important information that all filmmakers, producers, writers and directors should know about social media marketing. The class will cover how to use “crowd sourcing” to market your film, how to use film festivals as a launch pad for releasing your film, and how to properly use Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to market your film. This seminar can help filmmakers increase DVD sales and awareness of their film for free.
Allen Chou is President of Passion River Films, a NJ based company that distributes documentaries, art house films, & special interest titles to theaters, VOD, home video, libraries & colleges. With a diverse catalog of films that have been official selections in major film festivals, along with producers and directors that have been nominated or won Academy Awards, Allen has placed titles into retail stores such as: Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, Movie Gallery.
