Freehold, NJ As winter brings its biting cold weather to the Garden State, many of New Jersey’s underprivileged men, women and children are without proper outerwear and short on food.

Dr. Russell Brokstein, DC, as a member of The Association of New Jersey Chiropractors is sponsoring “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside” is the name of a statewide non-perishable food, coat, hat, glove and scarf drive being sponsored by the ANJC, a non-profit state organization.
To help New Jersey battle the cold, anyone can drop off food items, coats, hats gloves and scarves at Dr. Brokstein’s office, who will then deliver them to Jersey Cares, Salvation Army, Goodwill and other charitable organizations throughout New Jersey.
“When we bundle up to go outside on a cold winter’s day, we take our warmth for granted and when we eat, we take our nutrition for granted.. But the fact is, many New Jerseyans don’t have a good coat or other outerwear or food,” said Freehold Chiropractor, Dr. Russell Brokstein, DC. “Our association members have practices throughout the state and can easily collect and distribute this clothing and food to local organizations that will get them to the people who most need them this winter.”
Dr. Brokstein’s office will be accepting donations of food and unwanted winter apparel such as coats, hats, gloves and scarves in good condition until December 31, 2010.
His office, Hometown Family Wellness Center, is located at 9 Broadway, Freehold, NJ 07728, Phone 732-780-0044, www.chiropractorfreehold.com. As a thank you, Dr. Russell will offer a complimentary consult (regularly valued $145) for donating to this cause.

If you are not in this area and looking for another office to donate items, you can locate an ANJC member in their area by town or zip code by visiting the Association of Chiropractors website www.njchiropractors.com or calling (908) 722-5678 for more information.
