Freezing while sleeping is a growing problem, since new mattresses are more air permeable and are posessing ‘cooling climate control’ covers. A new mattress is attending to this problem

Freezing while sleeping is an old topic of course. But it is becoming more of a problem recently. Experts attribut this to the fact that industry is developing more breathing mattresses with new innovative foams and covers. As nice as this is in summer it does carry some problems during use in the colder part of the year.
A new mattress to be introduced at the imm2011 in cologne might be the answer

Several exhibitors at imm2010 in cologne will be showing products and solutions regarding the new market segment “Warmth Comfort Mattresses”. These are mattresses which are actively reducing the warmth loss of the sleeper during the night. A growing problem as sleeping room temperatures are lower than 10 years ago. Also mattresses are often incorporating new materials like climate control covers or air permeable foam types. The consequence: The warmth loss is even growing as body warmth energy is absorbed more quickly. No wonder that demand for “heating products” is growing since years – see google.
But “heating” is not a solution and is leading to sweating rather sooner than later. Intelligent products on the other side are regulating the warmth loss by the production of a mild warmth deep into the mattress. The sleeper feels comfortably warm, he rests undisturbed and there is no sweating at all.
Variowell will be introducing a Warming Comfort Mattress in the price range of 798.- EUR, which is regulating the warmth loss during night by a programmable controller.
