A New Generation for JAXQuickfit Tyres Thornleigh

The Dyballs of JAXQuickfit Tyres Thornleigh like keeping things in the family, so when long-standing franchisee Phil Dyball was considering semi-retirement recently he was thrilled by his son’s offer to purchase the business.

Bella Vista, Australia, September 30, 2010 — “Mark has been managing the store for five years and has been interested in cars since childhood so I am more than confident in his ability to run the business successfully” Phil says.

“Initially, I will remain in-store for a couple of days per week to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.”

Phil joined the JAX Tyres Group in 1988 following a career change from banking and has always had an avid interest in both cars and people.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my career with JAXQuickfit Tyres and during that time have both experienced and seen immense growth within the Group” Phil says.

“I’ve built up a long-standing and loyal customer base and many of my customers have been coming to the store since their parents brought them in as children. It’s a very family focused business” Phil says.

Phil is also aware of the importance of lady customers to the business.

“Females make up a significant portion of the tyre buying public and we are very conscious of that.”

“We’ve got a small but clean and cosy waiting area which is fitted out with tea and coffee making facilities, a television and up-to-date magazines. It’s important to us that our customers feel welcome.”

Family man Mark Dyball is excited to take up the reins and considering his four year old son Lachlan’s fascination with matchbox cars and wife Kirsty expecting their second child shortly, hopes to one day pass the business onto his own children.

“I’m incredibly proud of the business my father has established and am committed to building upon that success with Kirsty’s support” Mark says.

“I’ve had 18 years experience in the automotive industry and during that time have built up an extensive knowledge base.”

“Managing the store over the years has also meant that I’m very familiar with our customers. It’s very rewarding to see the repeat business.”

“We’ve also got fantastic staff in whom I have a lot of confidence” Mark says.

Away from work, Mark describes himself as a V8 supercar fan, devout West Tigers supporter and one who loves a Sunday BBQ in the park.
