Good Life Tampa Bay TV Show covered the friendly competition at “The Par and Poker Celebrity Challenge for Charity” hosted by former NFL linebacker, Seth Joyner.
March 15, 2010, Tampa, Florida – Former NFL All-Pro linebacker, Seth Joyner, combined fun and philanthropy in Tampa during Super Bowl week 2009. Joyner, who played for both the Eagles and the Cardinals, hosted an exclusive event featuring two unique games, golf and poker. Good Life Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay’s premier lifestyle show that reports on local flavor from the fast-growing Tampa Bay market, tracked the progress of celebrity participants as they played through the former All-Pro and Super Bowl champion’s unique event.
“We are very excited that our hometown team is coming to Tampa,” said Joyner. “We are looking forward to welcoming back the people who made last year’s event in Arizona such a huge success, and we now have an event for our fellow Phoenicians and Cardinals Fans!”
“The Par and Poker Celebrity Challenge for Charity” consisted of an 18-hole golf tournament at TPC Tampa Bay and a No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker tournament at Tampa Bay Downs. Attendees included former Heavy Weight Champion, Evander Holyfield, actor, Alfonso Ribeiro, former NFL linebacker, Lawrence Taylor and former NFL player, Marcus Allen.
The event benefited the Joyner-Walker Foundation, a Phoenix-based charity dedicated to providing life-skills programs to assist high school and college students to prosper and be self-sufficient.
Good Life Tampa Bay host “H” John Mejia interviewed many of the players who expressed nothing but happiness at being able to help their friends and communities through a wonderful event held in the beautiful Tampa Bay.
