Google announced last night that a new Google Analytics Individual Qualification had been launched on their Google Analytics blog.
Edinburgh, UK, March 06, 2009 — Google announced last night (around 6:30pm UK time) that a new Google Analytics Individual Qualification had been launched on their Google Analytics blog. News spread quickly & Ben Rogers, Attacat’s Senior Account Manager & lead Google Analytics consultant heard within a few minutes through Twitter (@attacatben).
With over 2 years commercial Google Analytics experience, Ben was able to review the Google conversion university & pass the test within 2 hours of hearing of it – with a pass mark of 95%.
Ben follows in the footsteps of Attacat founder, Tim Barlow who was among the first 100 people in the world to become a Google AdWords Qualified Professional. The speed with which Ben Rogers was able to attain the Google Analytics Individual Qualification following its worldwide release is likely to put him among the first in the world to have completed it.
Ben Rogers said, “As I was in the process of packing up for the evening I had a final check of Twitter – noticing the most recent post in my feed highlighting a new Google Analytics qualification. I had no choice but to look into it further! I’ve been working with Attacat as their lead Google Analytics consultant for a while now so have an in-depth understand of the product and its commercial applications already. After finding the ‘conversion university’ for the qualification, I spent some time refreshing my knowledge before getting stuck into the test. There are a few tricky questions in there but I would have been sorely disappointed if I hadn’t passed first time!
“Having this qualification is a mark of a deeper level of understanding of the product and as such should act as a reinforcement of my Google Analytics credentials both within Attacat and for clients.
“I’m obviously delighted to gain the qualification so quickly but I would place much more emphasis on my experience of complex Google Analytics installs along with Google Analytics consultancy & troubleshooting work for the likes of Scottish Life amongst others”
“We at Attacat feel that Google Analytics is a great tool, especially for the SME, in linking together the search engine marketing & advertising work we do for our clients. We always install Google Analytics for every client we work with & currently offer this as a free service – I hate to see people spending money online without knowing their returns! I look forward to coaching the rest of our team through the qualification which I feel will give them all a great grounding – even for those that rarely need to use it”
