Price comparison website Carrentals.co.uk observes an increase in demand in both North America and the Alps
10 February 2009 – The biggest snowfall in years has prompted a rise in demand for car rental in resorts in the Alps and North America, says leading online car hire price comparator Carrentals.co.uk. The company has seen car hire bookings up by a total of 25% year by year.
Some of the popular ski resorts are seeing a big increase in demand for car hire including Geneva, which has seen demand up by 33%, Salzburg – up 20% and Munich – up 10%. Many skiers are using the heavy snow as a good reason to take more than one ski holiday this year.
Tourists are booking different elements of their trip independently and saving money through booking cheap flights and hotels plus discounted car hire to get great deals.
