Clovis, CA, April 2009 — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA®) announced today that Hi-Tech Home, a leading electronic systems contractor in the central San Joaquin Valley, has won two 2009 Mark of Excellence Awards, presented by CEA’s TechHome Division. CEA’s Mark of Excellence Awards honored Hi-Tech Home for outstanding achievement and innovation in trend setting custom home electronics for Best Retrofit Project and Custom Home of the Year (installed price between $35,000 – $100,000). Award entries were reviewed by a panel of industry experts and submitted in two categories: Supplier and Systems Integrators.

Hi-Tech Home received the Best Retrofit Project award for the Turner Luxury Home, in which the company updated a home built decades ago with cutting edge technology, without losing any of the charm of a beautiful older home. The company received the Custom Home of the Year (installed price between $35,000 – $100,000) award for the Ratzlaff Smart Home, a project that created a cutting-edge automated home complete with a dedicated theater, comfort control, and all of the technological trimmings.

“It’s a terrific honor to receive these awards recognizing the best in our industry, especially when you consider the field of talented businesses that we competed against,” said Jay Cobb, president of Hi-Tech Home. “We’re extremely honored to be in such great company. We see these awards as a reinforcement of the high marks we’ve established for our customer service and overall value.”

Hi-Tech Home was recognized at the Mark of Excellence Awards Dinner on March 13 in conjunction with the tenth annual Electronic House Expo (EHX) Spring 2009.

Each year manufacturers, distributors and systems integrators enter to compete in award categories for this coveted honor. Each of the TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards categories has a four-member judging team comprised of systems integrators, manufacturers, members of the trade press and industry consultants to determine both finalists and winners.
