INFOCAD, Emirates Computers and TerraXML to debut PTC® MRO solutions at MRO Middle East

I

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 19, 2009: Further to PTC’s success in Asia with the implementation of their MRO solution based on Arbortext® within AMECO Beijing, the largest MRO in China, TerraXML together with PTC, will showcase the technology at MRO Middle East 2009, Dubai, (UAE Airport Expo, booth# 1012). INFOCAD has been brought on to be the distributor of TerraMRO, powered by PTC in the Middle East region.

The conference and exhibition organized by AviationWeek is the ideal platform to inform Middle East organizations of the latest MRO technology offerings. TerraXML recognizes the needs of the expanding Middle East MRO market, which is characterized by relatively new and growing companies and locally-based start-ups to manage, create, and control their technical documentation and distribute it to authorized personnel in an accurate and efficient manner. MRO organizations in the Middle East need to ensure that they are industry compliant and in a position to deal with the challenges of the competitive environment by optimizing their professional services offerings.

Through the implementation of industry best practices and the use of best technology solutions such as PTC’s Arbortext ® and Windchill platform with TerraXML’s TerraMRO software MRO’s will establish a reputation for excellence and place companies in a position of preferred services supplier. Middle East companies may face the additional challenges of recruiting and keeping qualified personnel and maintaining service knowledge within their organizations and therefore would see significant benefits from implementing a technical documentation system that can offer structured authoring, technical illustrations, publishing, content management, configuration management and change management all on one integral platform. Bob Aidun, President and CEO TerraXML states:

“Our ability to address the demanding needs of this market could not have been accomplished without embracing the industry leading publishing and data management software from PTC. We look forward to working with PTC in their efforts to further penetrate this market”.

PTC, together with its solution partner, TerraXML, provides a service information management solution specifically developed for Aircraft Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) organizations. The solutions facilitate the creation and management of documentation that is critical to effective MRO operations and the compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. In a competitive arena it is increasingly important for companies to achieve streamlining of their processes and operations. Using the PTC product information delivery software for expert airline and MRO documentation, they would be able to: reduce the cost and cycle time of service documentation; speed-up time sensitive changes; advanced workflow, configuration management and collaboration; dynamically manage tail-number specific documentation and prove industry compliance, (S1000D for technical publications and S2000M for provisioning).

PTC and TerraXML are already assisting AMECO in China with their efforts to quickly and efficiently service aircraft, and already have some prestigious Middle East customers using Arbortext ® solutions. Chris Krechting, PTC Vice President of Airline and MRO Global Sales remarked:

“PTC is working with TerraXML and Middle East Partners, INFOCAD and Emirates Computers to make the formal introduction of PTC into the Civil Aviation MRO marketplace. Leveraging PTC Windchill ® and Arbortext® TerraXML has developed TerraMRO to specifically address this complex and demanding market. INFOCAD and Emirates Computers are experienced and long-established technology solution providers in the Middle East region and we anticipate that this team will help us effectively promote and support our MRO solutions. We look forward to expanding PTC’s existing extensive Aerospace and Defence customer base into this important and developing regional market.”
