Innovation Europe is a new private group of peers who are Chief Innovators from Europe’s leading corporations. The group has secured its first corporate members who are now extending invitations to potential members. Innovation Europe is run by Generate Companies and is sponsored by Harvard Business School Publishing.
Zurich, Switzerland, July 29, 2010 — Innovation Europe is a private group of Chief Innovators from Europe’s leading corporations.
This is not just another association: the peer group was formed by Chief Innovators for Chief Innovators and connects those who lead innovation at the highest level in large corporations. The group will gather privately with each other several times each year to share learnings and best practices.
Innovation Europe was founded by Generate Companies and is affiliated with the firm’s emerging network of Chief Innovators Groups around the world. The first U.S. groups include members from 20 of the country’s largest corporations. Groups are sponsored by Harvard Business School Publishing.
Group members will gather several times annually to share knowledge, practices, and to connect deeply with peers who share their responsibility to create revenue from new sources. Members will also receive presentations from education by world thought leaders, research from Harvard’s library, and access to the world’s only market-wide look at innovation from Generate’s World Database of Innovation. Members will provide their peers with innumerable value in the form of deep expertise and fresh cross-industry perspective on each other’s innovation challenges.
The first group members of Innovation Europe include Rising Tide based near Zurich, Switzerland and the organization’s lead innovator Karin who is a founding member and has provided seed capital for this new initiative. Together Generate and Rising Tide are now making invitations to 14 additional members from Europe’s leading companies (only one company will be accepted in each vertical. I.e. no competitors).
