Institute of Computer and Finance Executives launches ‘SPEED’- A fast track program for employment after 100 days of training

ICFe launches its program for graduates and unemployed section of society to eliminate the employability drawbacks

Institute of Computer and Finance Executives (ICFe), the leading provider of training for financial sector, today announced its ‘SPEED- just 100 days to career’ program. SPEED stands for Smart Program for Eliminating the Employability Drawbacks and is offering a short term course for the graduate and unemployed section of society for imparting employability skills.

‘SPEED’ is a special course created by ICFe to make graduates employable in 100 days by identifying their weak links and to empower them with the necessary skills required for employment today. This course is available across all 63 centers of ICFe, spread over North India.

BFSI sector in India is still hiring but now the nuances of employment have changed with only trained graduates getting jobs now. ICFe has designed SPEED keeping in mind the requirements of the jobs in the sector in 2009. The program highlights include in depth coverage of Excel and MS Word as well as creating MIS reports. The course will also give practical exposure in Accounting and Tally 9. There is also a module on eliminating personality drawbacks and making the students more employable.

SPEED is a limited period course which is available till March 15th, 2009. Commerce graduates applying for this course will be given 100% job assistance facility. A non-commerce student can also apply for the course but knowledge of fundamentals of accounts is compulsory. Special batches for professionals are also available on weekends.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Santosh Mangal, CMD, ICFe says “Recession has affected the industry but has proved that people with requisite skills are always able to retain their jobs and progress in their careers. BFSI sector in India is skill buoyant and has a huge manpower requirement. At ICFe, the onus is on creating employable skills for our students and SPEED is yet another endeavour to work towards this end’.

Any graduate can enroll for ‘SPEED’ by paying a nominal fee of Rs.10,000/-. Non commerce graduates will have to pay Rs.3,000/-extra for the course as they will have to additionally take a course on the fundamentals of accounting.
