JAXQuickfit Franchisee Cameron McConville Heads North in Search of V8 Glory

JAXQuickfit Tyres Franchisee, Cameron McConville will take time out from his busy day job, to contest the final endurance race in the current V8 Supercar Championship series, the Armor All Gold Coast 600, this weekend.

Bella Vista, NSW, October 25, 2010 — Following on from their impressive third place finish two weekends ago, McConville will again pair up with Garth Tander in the Toll Holden Racing #2 car, as part of his contract with the Holden Racing Team to compete in this year’s long distance races.

McConville pulled back from fulltime V8 Supercar competition at the end of last season to operate his own JAXQuickfit Tyres store, but is enjoying the challenge of juggling his business and the strict training regime needed to perform on the V8 circuit.

“It certainly has been challenging, but I am loving every minute of it, and everyone around me has been extremely supportive, my family, my staff, the entire JAX network and all the guys at HRT.”

“I have clocked up a fair few miles this year by competing in the second-tier Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series at Winton and then in the main game at Townsville, Phillip Island and of course our wonderful podium finish at Bathurst.”

“I am feeling really good at the moment and I’m confident we can get another great result on the Gold Coast.”

With an all new look for 2010, the Gold Coast street circuit has been shortened to create a high speed, concrete lined thrill ride.

For the first time, each V8 Supercar team is required to include an international co driver within their stable, this will see Ryan Briscoe team up with Will Davison to complete the Toll Holden Racing Team line up.

The Armor All Gold Coast 600 will consist of two 300km races.

When he is not racing around Australia’s most famous circuits, Cameron can be found offering his expert opinion and advice to customers of his Moorabbin based JAXQuickfit store.

Australian-owned JAXQuickfit Tyres is unique in representing the top five global manufacturing giants of the tyre industry, including quality and high performance passenger car, light truck and four-wheel-drive tyre brands … BF Goodrich, Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli together with value for money brand options.
