Jet Airways to partner the ‘A. R. Rahman live in concert’in Hyderabad

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, is proud to participate as the official airline partner for the prestigious Jai Ho concert in support of the A R Rahman Foundation. This will be the first live concert in Hyderabad for India’s pride, A.R. Rahman, since his spectacular win at the Academy Awards.

A R Rahman Live in Concert Jai Ho, will be held at the GMR Arena, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Complex near Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel on Saturday, October 24, 2009. The net proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for providing assistance to flood victims.

Jai Ho is a one of a kind concert, which will feature several artists apart from the “Mozart of Madras” performing to a capacity crowd of 50,000.

Addressing the press conference, AR Rahman said, “Hyderabad is very special for me and I am quite excited to be performing here. My team and I are honored that the Jai Ho Concert will be the first, inaugural event to be held in the newly created GMR Arena. We hope that this will mark a new beginning of many more such events that will entertain the people of Hyderabad.”

Adding a unique flavor will be an ensemble of talented playback singers and renowned musicians performing along with A R Rahman, including Sivamani, Chitra, Blaaze, Benny Dayal, Sadhana Sargam, Rashid Ali, Shweta Pandit and Neeti Mohan among others.

Mr.Sripathy also announced that Rahman will present a special dedication at the Concert, in memory of the late Dr. Y. S. Rajsekhara Reddy.

The concert is managed and marketed by Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd. in Hyderabad.
