After taking a hiatus for a while following the end of their first world tour in 2009, on Saturday 22 May 2010 the Jonas Brothers released more than 40 shows for their forthcoming 2010 world tour. The tour will feature not only the Jonas Brothers and special guest Demi Lovato, but also – since the tour will be a cross promotion for the Disney Channel’s Original Movie to be premiered on September 3 – their friends and co-stars from the Camp Rock films. The pop group Savvy is also expected to perform as a supporting act at some venues.

The tour will feature both the Jonas Brothers ‘ original songs as well as numbers from the Camp Rock movies. Nick Jonas said in a press release: “We love recording and creating new music in the studio and enjoy doing television but performing live music together for our fans is the ultimate – nothing can compare to the energy from the crowd. We can’t wait to get back on the road this summer with Demi and our friends from ‘Camp Rock.’ Together we’re going to bring our fans a show that they’ll never forget.”

The North American part of the tour commences on July 27, 2010 – the same date as the release of “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Soundtrack” – in Dallas, Texas. The final concert in the U.S.A. will be on October 17, 2010 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tickets for the tour are available through The Tickets Club.

The tour will also take in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Liverpool, Ireland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina and Brazil. Shows are also expected in Australia and Asia.

The Jonas Brothers are an American pop boy band which became famous through the Disney Channel children’s television network. The band features three brothers – Paul Kevin Jonas II (Kevin Jonas), Joseph Adam Jonas (Joe Jonas), and Nicholas Jerry Jonas (Nick Jonas).

Kevin, Joe and Nick were the stars of the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie “Camp Rock”. The Jonas Brothers have also released four albums – “It’s About Time”, “Jonas Brothers”, “A Little Bit Longer”, and “Lines, Vines and Trying Times”. They have sold over eight million albums worldwide.

In 2009 Jonas Brothers were nominated for a Grammy as Best New Artist. At the Grammy Awards they performed with Stevie Wonder, singing their song “Burnin’ Up”, and also singing “Superstition” together. In 2009 they also performed at the Kids Inaugural for President Obama and his family and then performed for the first daughters in the White House.

As well as preparing for the tour, Jonas Brothers have also started writing songs for their fifth studio album.

Tickets for the tour are available through The Tickets Club.
