Kendal Calling is an independent music festival held annually at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District, Cumbria. It has grown from a two-day, 900 capacity event in 2006 to an 8000 capacity three-day music festival. Kendal Calling has 9 stages and has featured live performances from notable artists such as Pendulum, Doves, Dizzee Rascal, Mumford & Sons, Calvin Harris and British Sea Power. In 2010 Kendal Calling was awarded the Best Small UK Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards. Now in its sixth year, the wholly independent Kendal Calling is held in the Lake District, over the weekend of Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July. With Kendal Calling 2011 shaping up to be the biggest one yet, the Northern event on everyone’s lips have revealed more world class acts for the line up House of Pain, Frank Turner (will full band) and Easy Star All Stars are all headed for the mainstage! Without further ado the Glow Dance Tent can also unveil their first set of DJ’s set to raise the roof are none other than leaders and legends in their field Derrick Carter, Adam Freeland, Herve, Yousef, The Japanese Popstars LIVE and many more.
