LARKFLEET HOMES IS HELPING FIRST-TIME BUYERS IN DEEPING ST JAMES

Bourne-based housebuilder Larkfleet Homes (www.larkfleethomes.co.uk), part of the Larkfleet Group (www.larkfleetgroup.co.uk), is continuing to support first-time buyers in Deeping St James.

The housebuilder has helped many first-time buyers make that initial important step onto the housing ladder by offering properties through the government-backed HomeBuy Direct scheme at The Coppice development, located on Spalding Road.

The HomeBuy Direct Scheme provides equity loans to help new homebuyers purchase selected Larkfleet Homes’ properties. First time buyers can take out a mortgage to cover at least 70 per cent of the purchase price and this is topped up with an equity loan covering up to 30 per cent of the price.

The Coppice offers a range of two and three bedroom houses, seven of which have been sold through HomeBuy Direct.

Lee Marshall and his partner Roxana-Marie Witton are homebuyers who have recently completed a purchase on the site using the government scheme in conjunction with Larkfleet Homes.

Roxana-Marie commented: “We are thrilled to have purchased a property on The Coppice development and cannot wait to move into our new home. The HomeBuy Direct scheme has allowed us to own our own home in an ideal location. Larkfleet’s sales staff made the process so easy and were really helpful throughout.”

All HomeBuy Direct properties on The Coppice site will be built to the Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 – highlighting Larkfleet Homes’ commitment to creating affordable, well-built and energy-efficient homes.
The development will not only allow first time buyers a chance to get a foot on the property ladder but will also provide local jobs as Larkfleet is utilising local labour and product supply chains on site.

Larkfleet has now received a second phase of government funding and The Coppice development will also include properties that are part of the new FirstBuy scheme. Thanks to this scheme, first time buyers could own a Larkfleet property sooner than they think. This is because Larkfleet Homes and the government can help lower the amount needed for a deposit and this could help eligible first time buyers find a more affordable mortgage. Larkfleet currently has two three-bedroom houses left for sale at The Coppice with prices from £159,995.

Karl Hick, managing director of Larkfleet Homes, said: “This development will go some way to meeting the need for affordable housing in the local area. Larkfleet Homes is pleased to help young, first time buyers such as Lee and Roxana-Marie secure their own home.”

Larkfleet has recently announced that it will be building a second development in Deeping St James.

Larkfleet’s new development, called Apple Grove, will offer a stylish selection of three, four and five bedroom homes.

Apple Grove, like The Coppice, is ideally situated between Peterborough, Stamford and Spalding – all of which are only approximately twenty minutes away.
