Louise Day founded LifftTM Slings in 2007, a range of baby slings that she designed to fit perfectly and be easy to use.
LifftTM Slings (http://www.lifftslings.com/site/content_home.php) has been scientifically proven to improve posture, for both wearer and baby. Research carried out at the Biomechanical Testing Facilities in the North West University of Central Lancashire discovered that the sling evenly spreads the baby’s weight across the wearer’s body. This encourages a natural style of parenting and a stronger bond to be formed between the parent and baby as a result of the physical closeness experienced whilst wearing the sling.
Now four years on Louise is launching the product on the high street at Boots stores. Lifft is already available through many independent baby stores and from www.lifftslings.com ( www.lifftslings.com) but this is the first time pregnant women and new mums will be able to buy the sling from a national high street chain. This follows Boots’ search for the ‘next big thing’ from new entrepreneurs, which will be documented on during spring 2011 in a series of the same name, ‘The Next Big Thing’.
Hailed by Boots during filming as a “benchmark Boots product” due to its numerous health benefits (http://www.lifftslings.com/site/content_lifftscience.php) such as promoting breastfeeding and bonding with baby, as well as benefits to posture, Lifft Slings is a true success story of a work-at-home-mum, who is now hitting the high street. “I am very excited to be a part of ‘the next big thing’ and to launch at Boots. Since its launch in 2007, LifftTM Slings has continued to grow and develop. A new logo has been created as part of this evolvement. Louise Day, founder of Lifft slings explained “We have always had a distinctive logo and our customers have told us that it is an intrinsic part of the brand, making our slings instantly recognisable. The new version of the logo will still be as distinctive, but I feel it’s more subtle and sophisticated – a bit like our customers!”
This new logo, along with the new and exclusive navy colour and launch in Boots, are just the beginning of the new exciting initiatives for Lifft in 2011.
