LONDON, UK – Sapphire today announced that it is to supply and implement the SAP Business One business management solution for 15 users at LighterLife.
LighterLife provides a unique weight-loss and weight-management programme for people who have at least one stone to lose. It is different to other weight-loss programmes because it offers a real and successful alternative – and the effects are proven to last.
Sage Line 100 was in use for financial accounting, but the functionality was outdated for the current needs of the business. A back office system that would support LighterLife’s new online ordering system was required.
Stephen Nixon, Financial Controller at LighterLife, was tasked with finding a suitable replacement system. An extensive review of solutions available to the mid-market and their suitability to LighterLife’s requirements was conducted, with SAP Business One, Iris Exchequer and Vantage by Epicor short-listed.
On the subsequent decision to implement SAP Business One, Mr Nixon said: “We went though a detailed round of short-listing and had a ‘wish list’ of functionality that we wanted. The modules in SAP Business One covered everything we were after including stock management, sales purchasing, MRM and – most importantly – integration with our web services. The flexibility of SAP Business One was also a key driver in our decision; the reporting that the solution offers is outstanding.”
SAP recommended Sapphire to LighterLife as implementation partner. “We have been very pleased with this introduction,” commented Mr Nixon, going on to say “we liked the fact that they had an office based relatively near to us and were reassured by the size of the Sapphire business.”
Mr Nixon and the team at LighterLife are looking forward to what he describes as a “huge amount” of benefit once SAP Business One is live. There will be greater automation, more control and improved quality of data, on the previous way of working. He gave sales ordering as an example saying “We used to receive an order and then key the details into the system; in addition to this we’d rely on manually monitoring orders to make sure that no one was over-ordering. With Business One this will all be automated. All checks and balances are in place automatically and there is continual monitoring of the database through the queries that we run.”
