Hampton Roads, Virginia – August 20, 2010 – Local Marketing Expo (LMX) has announced that Sharon Frazier, vice president of sales for Cox Media, will be one of four keynote speakers at the inaugural event. The conference will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

LMX, a networking event that focuses on learning about local marketing trends and strategies, was put together by local businesses from various marketing and advertising sectors. The one-day conference is designed to help businesses find proven ways to better promote their services and products in the region.
Frazier will focus on the past, present and future of cable television media and how new technology affects advertisers and consumers alike.
“She will share with us how consumer behavior has changed, describe some of the nuances in today’s journey to purchase, and touch on some of the exciting things to come in the future with selectivity, platforms and customizing the message,” said Newsome.
A Virginia native, Frazier joined Cox Media in 1996 as Local Sales Manager of the Southside Hampton Roads division. She is now based in Atlanta, Ga. and serves as Vice President of Sales. She has won several awards for leadership, strategy and business excellence. Frazier holds a master’s degree in business administration from The College of William and Mary and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Virginia Tech.
