An ironic twist of fate when peace-loving man on a spiritual journey is imprisoned by Militants

Paris, France, October 25th, 2009 – It is a tragic quirk of fate when a peace-loving young man searching for a universal religion ends up instead being imprisoned by radical Muslims and fearing for his life. This is exactly the scenario Frank Romano faced thirty years ago and is the inspiration for Storm Over Morocco (World Audience Publishers, NYC), an enthralling account of this terrifying period in his life.

Romano had traveled to Casablanca as a young man on a spiritual quest and had been invited to study Islam in a mosque. He realized too late that what he mistook for peace-loving people on a similar mission, ultimately turned out to be militant Muslims. Storm over Morocco depicts in detail his traumatic ordeal and draws a frightening picture of the suspense that built up during his attempts to escape the ten foot high compound. What began as a peaceful search for God turned into a desperate struggle to survive when he was wrongly accused of being a Zionist spy.

After his escape, Romano uses his personal experiences as a means of organizing interfaith events with varied religions that included fundamentalist Muslims, Jews, and Christians in Israel and Palestine. Never losing sight of his spiritual path, he continues to nurture his dream of helping to find a peaceful solution to religious conflicts.

The 3rd Edition of the book was published in March 2009 and it includes two new chapters, including one that discusses a recent intense meeting with Militant Palestinians in a West Bank refugee camp. Many people have expressed interest about his present interfaith activities during author events and media interviews, which inspired the 3rd Edition.

He has just returned from the West Bank where he organized and participated in two Interfaith Peace Marches in Hebron in August, 2009. (See blog: frankromano363.blogspot.com–which includes a description and photos)
He is considered an expert on the conflict in the Middle East, notably in the West Bank, Gaza and Israel, the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Salafi radicals, Wahhabi extremists and radical Islamists (Jihadists). His interview was broadcasted by NBC Channel 56, during the 5 o’clock News about the Israeli-Palestinian crisis in Gaza in December, 2008 (to hear it, see blog: www.frankromano363.blogspot.com).
His publisher has also recently published his book of poems entitled “Crossing Over.” Romano is a PhD in Law, Sorbonne University, Paris, and teaches at the University of Paris. He is a member of the California and Marseille Bars and practices law in California and France.

He will be available for interviews. See following schedule: USA: Dec. 12- Jan. 5, Feb. 27-11 Mar. PARIS: Oct. 5-Dec. 12, Jan. 5-Feb. 26
