MEDIA CONTACTS LAUNCHES UK MOBILE ADVERTISING AGENCY – Award-winning mobile pioneers to run ‘Mobext’

London, 01 July 2008. Media Contacts, the global interactive arm of Havas Media has launched a mobile advertising agency, Mobext, in the UK, to be run by two pioneers of the UK mobile industry, Chris and Kieran Bourke. Mobext, which launches with its first UK client, a major automotive manufacturer, will offer mobile media planning, creative execution and production to its clients, making Media Contacts the only London agency to have a full service mobile capability in-house.

The Bourke brothers, previously founding partners of the UK’s first ever mobile marketing agency, Aerodeon and winners of the ‘Best Planning & Insight’ category at this year’s Vodafone Mobile Marketing Awards, will build on Mobext’s successes in other markets. The new agency will offer mobile media strategy, planning and buying, mobile advertising creative and a full production service including graphic design, mobile site build, viral video and mobile widgets. This London launch demonstrates Media Contacts’ total commitment to a mobile offering and becomes the seventh Mobext office in as many countries, making it today, the largest mobile agency network around the world. Mobext is currently working with a global automotive manufacturer to develop a pan-European mobile advertising campaign in ten end-markets, to drive awareness of a youth targeted car launch.
