Charleston, S.C. – September 21, 2010 – Pam Hartley, Founder of Momentum Marketing, announced today that Emily Steele has joined the Daniel Island-based marketing firm as a Public Relations Specialist. Steele is a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in public relations.
Prior to graduating college, Steele gained experience through several internships. For three years she worked for the University of South Carolina’s Athletic Department as a student assistant in the Media Relations office. There she assisted in aiding the media at athletic events as well as wrote press releases and features on athletes. Through this internship, Steele also got an opportunity to work with different television networks such as ESPN, CBS and Raycom. In addition, Steele also spent a summer as an intern for the Alzheimer’s Association in Charleston, S.C. where she worked on an awareness campaign centralized to the Lowcountry. In her senior year, Steele worked for the Communications Department at Richland County School District in Columbia, S.C. assisting with weekly newsletters and social media.
At Momentum, Steele handles all of the public relations needs for clients. She writes press releases on client news and events as well as manages client press.
