Denver, CO (January 15, 2010) – Today, Coral Lodge 15.41, a unique Mozambique luxury lodge at a prime beach location near the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ilha de Mozambique, announces they will officially open their doors on February 1, 2010. This new property, ideal for a post-safari beach getaway, is modern Mozambique luxury lodge with a distinctly African flavor, and offers guests the latest in luxury and comfort while maintaining an authentic feel of Mozambican pureness.

“After a lot of hard work we are excited to open our doors of our Mozambique luxury lodge in February,” explains Alexandra Otto-van der Ende, owner of Coral Lodge 15.41. “The resort’s design, by Dutch designer Edward van Vliet, incorporates the colors of its environment using wood and brightly-colored textures. These natural materials make the resort blend in perfectly with the surroundings. We have made further use of the area’s natural setting by building Coral Lodge 15.41’s villas on top of the dunes. This allows our guests to get the full benefit of the incredible views and the constant breeze from the Indian Ocean.”

The Mozambique luxury lodge, Coral Lodge 15.41 comprises 10 expansive villas each designed for optimal privacy and relaxation. The living space includes informal sitting areas, a bedroom, a bathroom and a big terrace. All villas offer stunning aquatic views over the Indian Ocean and Ilha de Moçambique.

Coral Lodge 15.41 is built on a privately- owned reserve called Varanda, a peninsula jutting into the ocean on one side and a large lagoon on the other. Through the lagoon the tides offer life to the mangrove forest behind massive sand dunes. Guests can explore Varanda by canoe or on foot.
While visiting the Mozambique luxury lodge, Coral Lodge 15.41 it is imperative that guests also visit UNESCO World Heritage site Ilha de Mozambique. This former Portuguese trading-post on the route to India is remarkable in its architectural unity, due to the consistent use, since the 16th century, of the same building techniques, building materials (stone or macuti) and decorative principles. From Coral Lodge 15.41 guests look out on the San Sebastião Fort (1558 AD) at the north point of the island.
