Peter Dominick CNN What The Week Interviews United Servicers Association and FIRST peer group to learn what membership and honorable recognition means to home repair and service customers

Nassau County, NY – Appliance repair and home service providers who belong to national associations and are recognized for displaying integrity and professional workmanship are proud of their accomplishments.

Bob Dougherty is a member of the United Servicers Association and an active member in FIRST Peer Group. An interview with comedian, Peter Dominick and the USA revealed interesting information about what this means to home repair and service customers.

Peter Dominick recently interviewed the United Servicers Association’s peer group when they were taking a break from their quarterly meeting. They were quite surprised to see the CNN logo on the microphones and a camera crew surrounding their lunch table. Dominick interviewed members and asked why they cooperated with each other and shared common goals. The show aired nationally on CNN Saturday November 6, 2010 on Peter Dominick CNN What The Week.

First Peer Group was formed at the ASTI (Appliance Service Training Institute) convention in 2010 and has helped business owners take control of their finances; collaborate on marketing ideas and provide support in other areas of business development.

A new peer group will be forming at the upcoming ASTI 2011 to participants of the convention in San Diego, California on February 9-12, 2011.

The FIRST peer group met in Atlanta with executives at the Assurant, Inc, a warranty provider, at their world headquarters to discuss the recent requirement for background checks and drug screening as well as the treatment of independent home service providers.

Association memberships for appliance repair technicians and home service providers offer an opportunity to network and learn from others as business owners share their experiences and discoveries. Recognition by these associations enhances a service provider’s credibility and professional qualifications.

For example, Bob Dougherty is among a very select group of major appliance service technicians in the United States to be recognized as a certified Appliance Professional with a Master Technician rating. The Professional Service Association (PSA) is a not-for-profit national trade association representing independent appliance and electronic service centers.

Bob Dougherty owns Fleet Appliance Corp, a member of AHASC with over 22 years in business. Their factory trained technicians provide appliance repair services on most major brands and they are licensed and insured. Bob Dougherty strives to exceed customer expectations by providing dependable, honest, trained and dedicated appliance repair technicians who are highly motivated to do their personal best to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
