Osteopath Xerxes Dalal was attracted to a career as an osteopath after a chronic knee injury which left him unable to run for long periods, was successfully treated with osteopathy.

“This really inspired me. The fact that the body can repair and heal itself after major trauma is amazing. To be part of that puts a smile on my face every day. I love my job and i’m always striving to be better at what I do.”

“The City is an amazingly challenging environment to practice osteopathy. Patients present with a wide range of problems and want a quick fix. Often if a problem is straight forward one treatment does the trick. My philosophy is to get patients better in as few treatments as possible.”

The Clinic has been a vision of osteopath Xerxes Dalal ever since he first qualified back in 1998 from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Bachelor of Science in Osteopathic Medicine and Diploma in Naturopathy. Xerxes is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). He has worked in private practice in Cambridge, Manchester and Harley Street.

His first job as an osteopath was a two-week locum in the City. During this brief period he recognised the need for a clinic which provided the highest standards of osteopathic healthcare for the City’s remarkably dedicated workforce.

Olivia de Maigret

Osteopath practioners at our London – Central practice

Recently graduated with a Masters from the British School of Osteopathy, (www.bso.ac.uk), Olivia de Maigret has joined the City Clinic of Osteopathic Medicine this year. She initially pursued medical studies in France.

Both as an accomplished horse rider and classically trained dancer, she became interested in osteopathy following a series of sporting injuries, which were successfully treated with osteopathy.

Having spent her early years in the south of France, where she studied under the direction of the choreographer Angelo Monaco (www.angelomonaco.com) and competed in show jumping. She was drawn to London and the internationally renowned British School of Osteopathy.

In addition to her course at her school, she pursued courses in management of sports injuries. Olivia has further developed her dance skills at the London Contemporary dance school and Pineapple studios.

Working with professional dancers and sport men and women, Olivia has developed a great understanding of the importance of maintaining the body to an optimum performance level. She understands the stressful environment of the city and its consequences on the body. In that respect, Olivia will provide a high standard of osteopathic care to city workers, patients with the equally demanding pressure.
