Party City hs announced a national in-store initiative to benefit Keeping Babies Safe educational initiatives. Customers will be able to support the cause with dollar donations, collected at the point of purchase of more than 600 Party City stores. Keeping Babies Safe (KBS) is a non-profit organization that raises awareness about unsafe cribs and sleep environments and teaches parents how to prevent injuries to infants.
Party City’s partnership with Keeping Babies Safe is slated to run through December 31, 2010.

In the past two years alone, 11 million cribs have been recalled for safety reasons. Cribs continue to be the leading cause of death and injury among all nursery products.
