PGCC Orlando Calls Top Practice Facility Home

P

The Professional Golfers Career College places a high premium on being conveniently located near world class golf courses, and it doesn’t get much more conveniently located than PGCC’s Orlando campus. The second of three campuses, PGCC Orlando was opened on the grounds of the Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge, a truly remarkable golf hotspot that remains one of the nation’s top practice facilities and home to many PGA Tour Finals.

Of course, PGCC students have playing privileges at all three of OCN’s immaculately manicured, world-class courses, not to mention a wide selection of many other beautiful courses in the area, included in the cost of tuition. Taking golf from the classroom to the course couldn’t be easier than it is here. In addition to hosting the 2001 PGA Tour Qualifier, Panther Lake, one of OCN’s courses, has been awarded 4 ½ stars by Golf Digest and rated as a Top Ten Course by Golf Magazine. Not to be outdone is Panther Lake’s sister course, Crooked Cat. Also awarded 4 ½ stars by Golf Digest and rated as a Top Ten Course by Golf Magazine, Crooked Cat was home to the 2002 PGA Tour Qualifier.

Originally intended to open the gates to bicoastal golf education, PGCC Orlando has grown into the school’s largest campus body of all three locations. With the campus’ horseshoe layout you can’t walk in any direction without running into a library, classrooms, a state-of-the-art swing lab, a club repair room, administrative offices or, of course, world renowned courses. At PGCC Orlando it’s hard to avoid having golf on the brain, which is why classes begin at 8 and end at noon, leaving plenty of time to play the game.
