New affordable homes have been launched at Long Meadow in Diss, Norfolk targeted to local buyers who want to get onto the property ladder.

Built by C-Zero and Barnes Construction, the new homes for sale in Norfolk include 29 affordable homes for the first phase with eventually 114 new homes being built on the site. These new homes will specifically offer affordable housing for local people with over 85 properties being sold to eligible local people in Diss. This new development in Norfolk consists of one and two bedroom apartments and two and three bedroom houses.
A discounted scheme is offered with a reduction of at least 25% in property market values. Fifteen properties on the site will be rented out to local tenants through a local housing association.

Long Meadow has also been built using sustainable materials and designed to be energy efficient with a low carbon footprint. All of the homes have in-built energy saving features including solid, insulated Hemcrete® walls, triple-glazed windows and low energy lighting and heating. This will also help buyers reduce the costs of their energy bills. In addition, every home is fitted with a meter that will show the amount of energy that is being used.

Mark Hart, Construction Director at Barnes Construction, said: “There is a lot of excitement locally about this development because it is the first commercial, sustainable housing project of its scale in the UK.”

Diss in Norfolk has easy access to Norwich and London and is a historic location. Prices start from £72,500 for a one bedroom apartment.
