Designed by renowned architect and course designer, Robert Trent Jones, the SCGA course does not disappoint. Featuring Jones’ signature bunkers, beautifully sculpted to complement the greens, the course is both challenging and stunning. When students want to play a different kind of grass, they head to Diamond Valley Golf Club, a popular choice. Outfitted with Bermuda grass, an uncommon grass in Southern California, Diamond Valley provides students an opportunity to craft a well-rounded game.
In Orlando, Florida, PGCC is located on the grounds of Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge, so it goes without saying that students don’t just learn here, they play here as well. OCN, home of the 2005 PGA Tour Q-School Finals, features Panther Lake, a course awarded 4 ½ Stars by Golf Digest and rated by Golf Magazine as a Top Ten Course. Panther Lake has also been home to the 2001 PGA Tour Qualifier. Another member of the OCN family is Crooked Cat, has been awarded 4 1/2 Stars by Golf Digest, and was home to the 2002 PGA Tour Qualifier.
Hilton Head students play on some of the finest championship courses in the Hilton Head area, including the Palmetto Hall Plantation. The two 18-hole courses, built by Arthur Hills and Robert Cupp respectively were instantly dubbed a classic by Golf Magazine, rating it one of America’s Top 10 new courses. Cupp, Golf World’s former Architect of the Year, has garnered high praise for the course’s flexibility, sound shot values and impeccable year-round conditioning.
