Two major UK house builders are releasing new developments in Scotland in the city of Glasgow. The properties are exclusive new developments ranging from two bedroom executive apartments to five bedroom houses.

The two house builders, Bett Homes and Mactaggart & Mickel, are launching their new developments in Scotland as further high-end property is sought in the Glasgow area.

Mactaggart & Mickel are releasing their new homes at Newton Mearns in Glasgow at their site called Mallot’s Brae which features a small and exclusive development of sixteen houses and twenty four apartments. The site includes two and three bedroom apartments and four and five bedroom villa homes which suit professionals and families. Prices start from £224,995.

Bett Homes are launching their Academy Grove luxury homes development which is situated in the Bearsden area of Glasgow and includes four and five bedroom executive new houses for sale from £430,000. The area has easy access to the city centre and is close to a number of schools, entertainment and leisure amenities.

Bett Homes’ sales manager, Margaret Davidson, says: ” This is a great opportunity for house hunters looking for a new home at one of the best addresses in Glasgow.”

The launches come as the number of buyers looking for new homes for sale in Scotland has risen in March 2011 with the number of homes available on the market decreasing slightly by 2% during March.
