Prudential enhances PruSelect fund range

P

Prudential has announced further enhancements to its PruSelect fund range. Launched on July 13, the new funds are:

– Henderson Preference and Bond, (Sterling Strategic Bond)

– Ignis Cartesian UK Oppportunities (UK All Companies)

– JP Morgan Cautious Total Return (Cautious Managed)

– Thames River Balanced Managed (Balanced Managed)

Commenting on the changes, Andy Brown, Prudential’s Director of Investment Funds said: “With the addition of the funds to the PruSelect range, advisers can offer their customers even more diversified and actively managed investment funds. In addition, advisers continue to face the challenge of mounting research and analysis costs combined with regulatory compliance. PruSelect is designed to help reduce these barriers to writing business while giving customers access to a “best of breed” range of independently rated funds. By easily identifying relevant funds to meet clients’ objectives and tolerance for risk, advisers can spend more time with the client rather than trying to choose from so many options.”

The PruSelect fund range is an actively managed and regularly updated choice of funds that Prudential make available to advisers based on the recommendations of Old Broad Street Research (OBSR). OBSR has selected approximately 100 funds which it considers “Best of Breed” and review the range on an on-going basis.

PruSelect also provides access to seven suggested risk graded model portfolios for advisers helping them to save time and research costs.

The fund range is available both on and offshore, across the following products: Prudential’s Flexible Investment Plan, the Prudential Investment Plan, the Flexible Retirement Plan including individual pensions and Income Drawdown, and the Portfolio Account from Prudential International.
