Raleigh Wealth Strategist Named Co-Chair of Meals on Wheels Fundraiser
Landon Watts to Lead Organization’s Signature Fat Tuesday Benefit

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 28, 2009)—W. Landon Watts, wealth strategist for Banyan Rock & Talent (www.landonwatts.com) has been selected as co-chair of Meals on Wheels of Wake County’s Fat Tuesday benefit celebration.

Watts will work closely with the fundraising committee in securing new partnerships for the event, as well as private contributions. Watts has been a Meals on Wheels volunteer since 1997, becoming a board member in 2008.

“Landon’s increased role and extensive financial experience are a tremendous help to the organization,” says Alan Winstead, executive director of Meals on Wheels of Wake County. “We’re grateful for his continued commitment throughout his many years of service to our organization.”

The Fat Tuesday benefit celebration is the organization’s signature fundraising event. During the 2009 event, nearly 400 guests helped secure more than $41,000 to feed Wake County’s homebound seniors and persons with disabilities. The 2010 event is scheduled for February 16.
