Over 17,000 dryer related fires occur each year, causing deaths, injuries and millions in property damage and home loss
Professional dryer vent installation and regular dryer vent cleaning should be on everyone’s home maintenance list. Failure to clean dryer vents is the cause of most dryer related fires. Poorly installed dryer vent systems, or those made of inferior material can also be a fire hazard.
A fast moving dryer fire in a mobile home in Carlisle, PA claimed the life of a 49 year old man. Part of the mobile home had collapsed by the time firefighters arrived. They found the man’s body near the door; he had died of smoke inhalation.
Jerry Strausbaugh owns Dryer Vent Wizard of Central Pennsylvania. When Jerry looked into franchising, he was intrigued with Dryer Vent Wizard, a company that focuses on dryer vent services while educating consumers about dryer fire prevention and dryer efficiency.
According to Strausbaugh, professional dryer vent installation followed by regular dryer vent cleaning ensures clothes dryers are operating as safely and efficiently as possible. “Clothes dryers are the most likely appliance to cause a fire and are among the most expensive appliance to operate,” said Strausbaugh. “Clogged dryer vents are a major fire hazard and they can make your dryer cost an additional $300 per year to operate.”
Everyone needs dryer vent cleaning services, including single family homes, apartment buildings, condo associations, public laundries, beauty shops, pet shelters, retirement homes and anyone who operates one or more clothes dryers.
Jerry Strausbaugh is proud to make a difference in his community by making clothes dryers safer and greener. His customers enjoy peace of mind that their dryer vent system is safe from fire and working efficiently to save energy. Dryer vent cleaning and proper dryer vent installation according to IRC Code prolongs the life of the clothes dryer, prevents dryer fires and improves dryer efficiency.
