Rikvin specializes in setting up a company especially for foreign investors and companies. Based on the laws in Singapore, only individuals holding a Singapore Personal Access and NRIC are allowed to handle legal transactions such as setting up a company.

Singapore remains to be among the best destinations for investments in Asia Pacific. In the Ease of Doing Business 2011, Singapore held on to her number one position with impressive scores in benchmarks such as trading across the borders, employment valuation, taxation, company setup, and obtaining business permits and licenses.

“We have nominee services such as nominee director and nominee shareholder,” says Rikvin, “we also offer corporate secretaryship and process work visas.”

In incorporating a company, the laws require a resident director of ordinary residence, shareholder, and company secretary. Their personal details are indicated on the Memorandum and Articles of Association, one of the documents submitted to ACRA.

A resident director acts as the head of the corporation. He has executive powers, and most often, it is the principal investor or majority stockholder that is seated as the resident director.

“By obtaining and Employment pass or Entrepreneur pass, a foreign national can be appointed as the resident director,” chimes Rikvin.

Rikvin continues: “Only registered companies can apply for work visas including the one to be held by the investor. Thus, to pursue with the incorporation, a nominee director is beneficial.”

After the incorporation, Rikvin shall proceed in processing the work visas and thereafter, transfer the directorship. Investors who are not ready to relocate to Singapore may engage the nominee director service for a long term.

“They may stay offshore and use their passport to stay in Singapore to tend to their companies. They can also apply for a long-term visit pass if necessary,” Rikvin continues to elucidate.

Rikvin acts as the company secretary to most of its clients as it is a practicing member of ICSA and SAICSA.

A nominee shareholder works by allowing the nominee shareholder to hold shares in trust for the real investor.

Moving on, after the incorporation, Rikvin assists companies yonder in complying with their post-incorporation requirements such as opening corporate bank accounts, securing business licenses and permits, and in filing annual returns with IRAS and ACRA.

Rikvin also specializes in accounting such as bookkeeping and payroll management, and in virtual office and web hosting services.
