“At SafeList, we are passionate about making a difference in our community. While the physical and financial safety of our community members is our company’s primary driver, my family has very personally been affected by breast cancer, which is why we selected Susan G. Komen for the Cure, San Diego as the Grand Prize charity recipient. My wife was diagnosed for the second time last January and is currently undergoing treatment,” said Karim Pirani, founder and chairman of SafeList Ventures, Inc. “We understand the importance and value Komen San Diego brings to the community by providing support to underinsured and uninsured women. I was moved to learn that not only does Komen help provide screening, diagnostics and treatment to those suffering financial hardships but they also help patients pay their mortgage and for their groceries as well. It’s no wonder it’s the world’s most trusted nonprofit organization.”

It’s easy to be part of the SafeList $100,000 Giveaway Challenge. Now San Diego County residents have the opportunity to make an impact without ever leaving their home. All they have to do is become a verified user of SafeList.com by submitting themselves to a series of questions based on their personal life history that our proprietary system culls from a comprehensive search of the Lexus-Nexus public database. They will need to correctly answer these questions within 240 seconds. Failure to respond correctly will keep the person at the basic user level. Once they are verified, they may begin interacting with other members of the community in our San Diego Classifieds section.

“Many people don’t realize how dangerous it is to interact online without awareness of who is on the other end hiding behind the Internet. Our proprietary authentication process sets us apart from all our competitors because the members of our community have the unique advantage of transacting only with fellow members who, like themselves, have been authenticated, but still are able to keep their identity private and create screen names,” said Pirani. “We know there are a lot of criminals out there and we also believe that most criminals turn to crime during their adolescent years, we therefore chose TKF and STAR/PAL to support the great work they do with our youth.”
