Secure Enterprise Computing, Inc. Certified as PCI Security Standards Council Qualified Security Assessor
Secure Enterprise Computing to Advise on and Assess Client Data Security Strategy

RTP, N.C. (March 24, 2010) – Secure Enterprise Computing, Inc. (www.secure-enterprise.com), a computer security systems integration firm, announces today that the company has been approved as a Qualified Security Assessor by the PCI Security Standards Council.

The PCI Data Security Standard is endorsed by: American Express, Discover Financial, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa International. It requires merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit customer payment card data to adopt information security controls and processes to ensure data integrity. Participating payment brands require PCI DSS compliance reports by a certified third-party assessor for merchants and service providers that process credit card transactions to achieve compliance. More information on the council and the standard can be found at www.pcisecuritystandards.org.

As a QSA, Secure Enterprise Computing is certified to help merchants manage data security risks, evaluate the security of their systems that store payment account data and assist them in achieving compliance with the PCI DSS. In an era of increasingly sophisticated attacks on systems, the PCI DSS certification reassures merchants that they are being assessed accurately and fairly against the most current payment industry requirements.

“The PCI Security Standards Council is committed to helping everyone involved in the payment chain protect consumer payment data. By participating in the QSA certification process, Secure Enterprise Computing demonstrates they are playing an active part in this important end goal,” says Seana Pitt, chairperson, PCI Security Standards Council.

Randall Bennett, president and CEO of Secure Enterprise Computing, says, “This is extremely exciting and allows us to provide services at the same level as major accounting and consulting firms throughout the United States. We offer an advantage to the customer because we are very good at helping our clients manage the compliance process and ensure technical processes and documentation are in place to reduce the yearly investment related to processing credit card payments. This puts us in the elite company of just a couple hundred companies worldwide and we expect a substantial increase in business as a result of this new certification.”
