Shawnee Peak Offers Burton Learn to Ride Women’s Clinics

Bridgton, ME. – Shawnee Peak ski resort is happy to announce the new addition to their Learn to Ski and Ride Program. As Maine’s only location offering the Burton Learn to Ride Women’s Clinics, Melissa Rock of Shawnee Peak explains that clinics are “a great way to enter a life-long sport, promote fitness, and have fun with a group of friends.” The Burton Learn to Ride Women’s clinics are available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 10:30 am. For riders get a 90-minute lesson with one of the New England ski resort’s expert instructors, the price however does not include rentals or lift tickets. What it does offer is an hour and half of expert advice and one-on-one time specific to women snowboarders ages 8 and up.

For riders who have yet to purchase their own gear, Shawnee Peak ski resort offers a full line of Burton ladies specific boards and boots, a full day rental will cost riders merely $34. Burton snowboards are designed with beginners and women in mind to help make an easier progression into the sport. A thinner core offers women riders an easier flex, while a beveled base and edge gives them more forgiveness while learning to make turns. Burton boots are designed with a two-layer system that fits snugly in order to give more feeling and control while on the slopes.

The Maine ski area offers terrain for beginners through advanced skiers and snowboarders making it the perfect location to not only learn a new sport but progress and grow. Shawnee Peak Ski area has made expansions to its beginner learning area, and as always still offers expert level terrain. This combination allows the ski resort to offer a more memorable experience to riders of all levels.
