Announces four business segments namely distribution, IT components, systems integration and retail to help it expand, drive growth, improve efficiency and boost profitability
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 19th, 2008: SKY Electronics, the leading systems integrator and distributor of world-class global technology brands in the Middle East & Africa, today announced that it is restructuring its entire business into four main focus areas, in an attempt to fuel further expansion, boost profits and improve efficiency of its operations. SKY announced the launch of four new business groups namely, SKY Distribution FZE – which will be responsible for its distribution and box moving business, SKY Components LLC – dealing in a variety of IT components, SKY Electronics FZCO – its systems integration arm and SKY Electronics FZ LLC – focusing on retail.
Speaking on the restructuring, Mr. Manoj Thacker, the Managing Director at SKY said, “The new structure will not only help SKY address all aspects of the IT distribution business in the region, but it will also optimize growth and maximize revenues in the market. The restructuring of our business was essential as the regional market has been growing at such a fast pace. Under the new business model, SKY’s different business units will be more focused in their activities, as they will have a separate revenue model, sales and marketing team, and customer support team.â€
Mr. Thacker also explained that post restructuring of SKY’s business, the company’s key focus will be on maximising performance and customer service, wherever possible. “This is because we feel that providing excellent customer service and increasing performance of the team is essential to sustain in this market. By creating four new business units, and with an increased focus on costs, we are reflecting the different approaches that will be required to continue to succeed, both in terms of our existing operations and in capturing new revenue streams for the future,†said Mr. Thacker.
