It’s certainly a good-looking smartphone. The Xperia ARC features a whopping 4.2-inch display and has some great curves (the Christina Hendricks of smartphones, perhaps?!) It’s also a super slim device, measuring just 8.7mm thick.
However, just because it’s super skinny doesn’t mean there aren’t lots of goodies packed inside. The Sony Ericsson Xperia ARC runs on Sony’s mobile BRAVIA engine and it’s designed to deliver a truly rich multimedia experience – essential in today’s smartphone market.
The Xperia ARC runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) for smooth and intuitive operation and great responsiveness. Beneath the bonnet of the Xperia ARC is a powerful 1GHz Qualcomm processor.
The ARC features a powerful 8 megapixel camera with Sony’s Exmor R photo technology to ensure you can capture all those precious moments; it also has the ability to record 720p HD video.
Like all Android smartphones, the Sony Ericsson Xperia ARC has access to Google’s suite of services. It also features a unique user interface called Sony Timescape, which organises messages, emails and status updates.
Also included is DLNA capability, a 3.5mm audio port and GPS, with Sony’s Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation. It has storage capacity of up to 32GB and a MicroSD card slot.
