The South Camden Theatre Company Announces Induction into the New Jersey Theatre Alliance

The South Camden Theatre Company has been staging productions for four years in the basement of Sacred Heart Church and plans to move its performances across the street into the new 99-seat Waterfront South Theatre in late fall of 2009.

Amden, NJ,June 09, 2009 – The South Camden Theatre Company, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit professional theatre organization located in Camden, New Jersey announces its induction as an associate member of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance becoming the 12th associate member of the statewide organization.

Producing Artistic Director Joseph M. Paprzycki states, “I am thrilled that South Camden Theatre Company was selected to join the other prestigious groups in the New Jersey Theatre Alliance; we look forward to bringing our thought provoking plays to theatre goers throughout New Jersey and the region. As we prepare to move into our new home at the Waterfront South Theatre we will be opening a unique venue in the region. Our new 99-seat theatre is the first-ever built strictly for theatre in the city of Camden, New Jersey and will offer rehearsal space and an auditorium with three stories of fly space over our main stage; a unique feature in venues of this size”.

The South Camden Theatre Company has been staging productions for four years in the basement of Sacred Heart Church and plans to move its performances across the street into the new 99-seat Waterfront South Theatre in late fall of 2009. Located at the corner of 4th and Jasper Streets in Camden, New Jersey, the new building is currently under construction at the site of the former bar named Walt’s Cafe, an establishment previously owned by Paprzycki’s grandparents and the setting for his first play and forthcoming book, “Last Rites”.
