Multi-State Provider of Low-Cost Electric Service Launches in Pennsylvania; Spark Energy Offers Significant Savings to PECO Utility Customers
Sugar Land, TX, November 18, 2010 — PECO utility customers in Pennsylvania may now realize lower electric bills by transferring service to Spark Energy, a 10-year-old independent multi-state electricity provider. PECO’s territory is deregulated, meaning Pennsylvania residents and business owners can choose their electricity provider and independently evaluate available service and price offerings.

Spark Energy offers residential customers a fixed-rate plan for 12 months at a rate of 8.93 cents per kwh and a rate of 8.48 cents per kwh for small businesses. Both of these fixed-rates offer a 10 percent savings off of PECO’s current rate and certainty for the next year that the rate will not increase regardless of market conditions.
