Every year, Golfweek magazine’s panel of golf course raters play and rate literally tens of thousands of golf courses across the country and around the world. From among these thousands of golf courses, Spring Island ranks 44th for Golfweek Magazine’s 2011 Top 100 Best Residential Courses list.
Golfweek describes Spring Island’s South Carolina golf course: “The 7,004-yard course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, meanders through ancient oak forests and pine savannahs, along scenic waterways and spring-fed rookeries and around the namesake old tabby ruins of an antebellum plantation house.
