Valley-based cab company offering free cab rides aimed at keeping inebriated drivers off the streets of Phoenix during busy sports weekend.
Phoenix, AZ, February 05, 2011 — Discount Cab is offering football fans a safe ride home during Super Bowl weekend with its “Free Ride Back” program.
“Free Ride Back” aims at keeping inebriated drivers off the Valley’s streets and is offered year round by the cab company.
Simply reserve a Discount Cab taxi when you’re out at a local bar or restaurant and feel you’ve had too much to drink and the company will drive you back to your car the next day free of charge.
Super Bowl Weekend is usually a busy time for Discount Cab. This year’s Super Bowl pits the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Green Bay Packers.
“We’re happy to offer this free service to Valley residents,” said Craig Hughes, CEO of Total Transit, Inc., which owns Discount Cab. “For the last 13 years, it’s been our way of helping keep inebriated drivers off the Valley’s streets.”
Valley residents who want to take advantage of the program can call 602-200-2000. The offer applies to patrons at any local bar or restaurant.
Now in its 27th year of operation, Discount Cab is one of the largest cab companies in the southwest, operating more than 600 cabs throughout Phoenix and Tucson.
